Sobyanin thanked Muscovites for their high civic engagement

On September 20, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin thanked Muscovites for their high civic engagement during the voting days in the State Duma elections of the ninth convocation.

"Thank you to everyone who showed high civic engagement during the voting days. Thus, we confirmed that we live in a city of responsible and caring people," Sobyanin wrote on the "Maks" messenger.

The mayor also expressed gratitude to the Muscovites for the proposals submitted to the deputies. He assured that the problems raised during the election campaign would be worked out by the city authorities.

Separately, the Mayor noted the work of the Public Headquarters and observers. According to Sobyanin, their participation helped ensure the transparency and honesty of all electoral procedures.

Voting in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation in Russia has ended. The polling stations in the Kaliningrad region were the last to close. According to the results of the citizens' survey, the leading position is occupied by "United Russia", for which 49.4% of respondents voted.

On September 20, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, told "Izvestia" correspondent Anton Zolotnitsky that the level of organization of elections to the State Duma is very high. She also noted the openness and accessibility of the electoral system in Russia. Lantratova told about the departure of the election commission to the center, where people who are ill and live there voted.
