The Prosecutor General's Office pointed out the absence of serious violations in the elections.

During the voting days in Russia, there were no violations of legislation in the field of interethnic relations, serious extremist manifestations, as well as massive and serious violations of the law. This was announced on September 20 by representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

"At the moment, there are no violations of legislation in the field of interethnic relations and serious extremist manifestations," Alexey Zhafyarov, deputy head of the Department for Supervision of the implementation of laws on federal security, interethnic relations, countering extremism and terrorism of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, said in the information center of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, broadcast on the commission's website.

He noted that law enforcement agencies were taking measures to prevent illegal actions that could lead to the destabilization of the socio-political situation. In particular, materials calling for mass riots and extremist activities were identified and blocked.

According to him, since the beginning of 2026, prosecutors have submitted more than 600 demands to restrict access to destructive content. In addition, Zhafyarov said that in 2026, the Prosecutor General's Office declared the activities of 101 foreign international organizations undesirable. An analysis of their activities showed that they were aimed, among other things, at having a destructive effect on electoral processes and influencing the expression of the will of citizens.

Natalia Yemelkina, Deputy Head of the Department for Supervision of the Observance of Citizens' Rights, the Interests of the state and Society of the Main Directorate for Supervision of the Implementation of Federal Legislation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, separately stressed that there were no serious and massive violations of the law during the election campaigns and directly on voting days.

Within three days, Russians will elect governors, federal and regional deputies.

Chairman of the Human Rights Council (HRC) Valery Fadeev noted on September 20 that the working group had not recorded any violations during the elections within the framework of the Unified Voting Day (EDD) – 2026. At the same time, Fadeev drew attention to the behavior of individual candidates for deputies at different levels. According to him, some of them "sometimes behave quite strangely," in particular, they do not participate in election debates. The head of the HRC stressed that these observations are not related to the functioning of the electoral system.
