Lavrov pointed to active preparations for war with Russia in the West.

Western countries are actively preparing for war against Russia, purposefully planting the myth of the alleged Russian threat. About this on September 17th Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

"Today, the ruling circles, the elites, as we say, of most Western countries, are planting the myth of the threat posed by Russia, actively preparing for war against our country and condemning us, among other things, for undermining European values. Well, we can understand what these values really are," he said at the opening of the IV Congress of the International Russophile Movement.

The head of the Ministry stressed that the so-called European values today conceal Europe's willingness to once again support Nazism, which demonstrates the West's assistance to Ukraine. According to Lavrov, Western elites support forces that profess the Nazi ideology, put it into practice within their states and impose total bans on the Russian language, culture and education.

The head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, said on September 16 that Western countries that help the Kiev regime indirectly support the ideology of Nazism. Pushilin also noted that European countries had recently, during the Second World War, united to eradicate Nazism, which is now being helped.

On September 3, Lavrov said that the West constantly needs the image of an enemy, and if this image disappears in the face of Russia, many Western figures will be removed from office by voters. Lavrov also said that the West is trying to divide the continent by building walls between the European Union and Russia.
