A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Russian military personnel continue to conduct a special military operation. Units of the "North" group of forces in the Kharkiv region continue to tighten the encirclement and expand the external control zone. As a result of active actions, the settlement of Malaya Volchya, Kharkiv region, came under the control of Russian troops. Enemy manpower was defeated in the areas of the settlements of Khripun and Buzovo in the Kharkiv region. All attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces units to break out of the encirclement have been thwarted. During the day, the losses of Ukrainian armed formations in the encirclement amounted to up to 40 military personnel, an armored combat vehicle and a self-propelled artillery installation.

Since the beginning of the month, over 650 militants, 16 armored combat vehicles, nine vehicles, 13 ATVs and 25 ground-based robotic complexes have been destroyed in the encirclement. During the expansion of the external control zone, enemy groups were destroyed, which attempted to break through for reinforcement in the areas of the settlements of Prykolotnoye and Novoaleksandrovka, Kharkiv region. Also, in the Kharkiv region, heavy mechanized, motorized infantry, mechanized brigades and an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted fire damage on manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Zolochiv, Dementievka, Revolyutsionnoye, Grachevka, Bratenitsa and Liptsy of the Kharkiv region. In the Sumy region, concentrations of manpower and equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and two air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Grunovka, Kucherovka, Boyaro-Lezhachi and Khoten in the Sumy region were affected. In total, the enemy lost up to 220 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, five vehicles, an artillery piece and an electronic warfare station in the area of responsibility of the "North" group of forces.

The fighters of the "Vostok" group of forces advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Rozovka, Zaporizhia region. The manpower and equipment of two amphibious assault brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Velikomikhailovka, Dnipropetrovsk region, Novovladimirovka, Tavriyskoye, General, Vasilkovo, Omelnik, Samoylovka, Svitaya Dolina and Barvinovka, Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 240 soldiers, an armored combat vehicle and 11 vehicles.

The units of the "Dnepr" group of forces improved their position along the front line. Formations of two mechanized brigades and an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Yulevka, Orekhov and Grigorovka, Zaporizhia region. Up to 30 military personnel, nine vehicles and an electronic warfare station were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged the facilities of the energy and transport infrastructure of Ukraine used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots and military equipment, assembly shops, storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and their components, as well as points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 152 districts. Eight guided aerial bombs and 956 aircraft-type drones were shot down by air defense systems.

The blocked Ukrainian battalions have lost supplies, while the Kiev leadership is covering up the situation with the encirclement.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 237,803 unmanned aerial vehicles, 672 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,941 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,778 multiple rocket launchers, 36,480 field artillery and mortars, 72,091 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
