The departure of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko from the country resembles rats fleeing from a sinking ship. This was announced on September 14 by the head of the Legislative Assembly of the Zaporizhia region Viktor Emelianenko.

"Watching what is happening in the corridors of power in Kiev today, one involuntarily remembers the saying: "Rats flee from a sinking ship." This is the agony of a system that has completely lost touch with reality," Emelianenko said in an interview with "RIA Novosti".

According to him, trust in the authorities in Ukraine has been completely lost, and the structures created to fight corruption have become tools for settling scores. The head of the legislative Assembly added that Kravchenko is the quintessence of what is happening in the Ukrainian state and called his act a classic escape.

"To say pretentious words about protecting sovereignty and international partners, and then disappear into European capitals while the remnants of influence are being divided in Kiev,— Emelianenko stressed.

The politician also drew attention to the fact that those who build power on lies and corruption always end their careers on the run and with no future.

On the same day, Kravchenko left Ukraine in an official car and called it a business trip abroad. He said that he intends to tell foreign partners about the situation in the system of anti-corruption authorities of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the removal of Kravchenko from the post of Prosecutor General of the country. Earlier, the leader of Ukraine wrote in his Telegram channel that dismissal from office was the only way out for Kravchenko and called on parliamentarians to urgently support this decision.
