People's Artist of Russia and Honored Artist of the RSFSR, choreographer Lilia Sabitova has died in Moscow. She was 73 years old. Early years and education

Sabitova was born on August 12, 1953 in Tashkent. From a young age, she studied dancing and studied at a children's ballet school. In 1971, she graduated from the Tashkent Choreographic College. A year later, she completed an internship at the Moscow Choreographic College with teacher L. Menshova. In her work, Sabitova combined classical ballet training with an interest in modern choreographic trends.

Early career

In 1974, Sabitova began working at "Mosconcert". In 1981, she became a soloist of the "Chamber Ballet" group, at the same time she began to engage in choreographic work.
