Sergunina announced a series of free guided tours of Moscow for World Tourism Day

Over 160 locations in the capital will be united by the cultural and educational campaign "Moscow Stories" from September 25 to 27, timed to coincide with World Tourism Day. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"More than 500 excursions will be conducted for citizens and tourists over the course of three days. The guides will tell you about historical events, architectural masterpieces, famous residents, gastronomy of Moscow and much more," said Sergunina.

So, the participants of the action will be able to look behind the scenes of the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army. During the tour, they will learn about the decorative features of the building, a striking example of the Stalinist Empire style, as well as about the creative path of outstanding artists.

On another walk, you will be able to immerse yourself in the history of one of the oldest districts of the capital, Kitay—Gorod. Literature lovers will enjoy a guided tour of Leo Tolstoy's estate in Khamovniki, while sports fans will appreciate a tour of the Large Sports Arena of the "Luzhniki" Olympic Complex.

Tours of the new territory of the Moscow Zoo and a quest to Alexander Pushkin's favorite places will be interesting for children and teenagers. And on a walk dedicated to gastronomy, they will tell you where they came up with the signature recipe of the capital's olivier and which dishes of Moscow chefs Fyodor Dostoevsky and Anton Chekhov liked.
