Xi Jinping announced the creation of an open-source AI platform for BRICS

Chinese developers will create an inclusive platform for BRICS, equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), with open source and access. This was stated on September 13 by Chinese President Xi Jinping, as part of his speech at the unification summit in the "outreach" format in New Delhi.

"China will commit to creating an open AI zone based on BRICS, <...> and also create an open AI ecosystem," the content of his speech is quoted on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Xi Jinping announced that Beijing will hold workshops and trainings on AI, and also announced the imminent launch of large-scale language models. The corresponding step by the Chinese side, as explained by its leader, is being taken in order to consolidate and multiply the successes achieved by the BRICS.
