The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported the crash of a drone in the middle of a corn field.

In Romania, a fallen aircraft was discovered after reports of a drone heading towards the northeast of the country. This was announced on September 12 by the Romanian Ministry of Defense.

"During the reconnaissance conducted by the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a fallen aircraft was found in a cornfield near the village of Botoshenica Mare in Suceava County," the website says.

According to the agency, the air control centers of Ukraine and Moldova notified the Romanian side about the crossing of the airspace of the two countries by an unmanned vehicle. Two F-16 fighter jets were deployed from "Borcha" airbase to control the situation.

It is specified that as a result of the fall, a small fire occurred, and a funnel with a diameter of about 1 m and a depth of 30 cm also formed.

Romanian TV channel Digi24 reported on August 26 that a fragment of a drone carrying an explosive substance had washed up on Olympus Beach in the Romanian county of Constanta. Vacationers found the fragment in the morning and reported the discovery to the authorities. After that, the beach area was temporarily cordoned off, and tourists' access to the danger zone was restricted.
