Repair of the bridge over Shchepets was completed in the Pskov region

Major repairs of the bridge over the Shchepets River have been completed in the Pskov region. The facility is located on the 47th km of the Stary Izborsk –Palkino – Ostrov highway, the press service of the regional Ministry of Transport reported on Friday, September 11.

Now the 34-meter bridge meets all safety requirements and is ready for operation. The contractor was the Baltic Coast Construction Company.

The builders completely updated the construction of the facility, which included the installation of the superstructure beams, the pavement of the bridge, railing and barrier fences.

The specialists also equipped a modern drainage and sewage treatment plant system, reinforced the slopes of the embankment and drainage ditches. For safety, markings were applied, outdoor lighting was installed and sidewalks were made throughout the renovation site.

As noted by the Pskov news feed, the work was carried out within the framework of the national project "Infrastructure for Life".

The highway on which the bridge is located leads to the district center — the city of Ostrov. The renovated facility also provides transport accessibility to the village of Rubilovo, where the school is located.

Earlier it was reported that an emergency pedestrian bridge over the Pskov River will be put in order in the Strugo-Krasnensky district. We are talking about a pedestrian crossing in the village of Dulova Gora.
