The Dopamine Grandmother from Rostov-on-Don conquered the network with bright products

88-year-old Valentina Mikhailovna from Rostov-on-Don, who is fond of knitting bright multicolored products, has become popular on social networks. She has already been dubbed the "dopamine granny" on the Internet. She spoke about her hobby and popularity online on September 11 in an interview with Izvestia.

The pensioner was engaged in knitting from an early age, but for 60 years she did not remember about her hobby — she was married. After her husband passed away, Valentina returned to her favorite pastime. According to her, knitting calms down well.

"I saw that mom was knitting, I looked closely. The neighbors were knitting — I also looked closely, studied with them, and liked it. I really like knitting, it calms me down well," said Valentina.

The pensioner folded all her products at home or gave them to friends until her granddaughters offered to advertise her work. Then there was a great demand for Valentina's work: colored socks and mats captivated Internet users. She got the nickname "dopamine granny" because of the trend in social networks to call everything bright and colorful "dopamine".

According to the pensioner, she is very pleased that after the videos on the Internet, she often began to see her products at guests, neighbors and other people who buy her knitted creations. Now she doesn't even have time to link one order, as several more arrive.

"Now, no matter which house I enter, my mugs are everywhere, my slippers are everywhere. And I am pleased," added Valentina.

The pensioner shared that she loves bright things very much. Colorful knitted items delight her heart.

The pensioner noted that many games require solving logical problems and puzzles, and using the controller serves as gymnastics for fine motor skills of the hands.
