Insurers have stated that there are no obstacles to checking CTP with cameras.

Verification of data in the insurance AIS systems and databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia confirmed their full compliance. Evgeny Ufimtsev, President of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), told Kommersant about this.

"On the part of the insurance community, everything is ready to launch verification of the driver's valid CTP contract with traffic cameras," he said.

Ufimtsev called the start of checking with cameras of photo and video recording of the driver's valid insurance policy one of the main initiatives along with the reform of the system of compensation for harm.

According to him, limiting excess payments and checking the availability of a valid CTP contract with traffic cameras will also help reduce the unprofitability of compulsory motor liability insurance.

As previously established by Izvestia, if the vehicle's VIN has not been transferred to the AIS system, it will not be possible to find a CTP policy for it. A similar situation arises if the state registration mark was not specified at the conclusion of the CTP agreement.
