The United Arab Emirates (UAE) hopes that Algeria's decision to sever diplomatic relations will be temporary. This was announced on September 10 by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The UAE expresses the hope that this decision is temporary and will not damage the fraternal ties between the two fraternal peoples," the statement on the website of the Emirati Foreign Ministry said.

The Ministry also noted the respectful attitude towards the Algerian people and pointed out the importance of bilateral ties, including thanks to the Algerian community in the UAE and Algerian citizens visiting the country.
