To recover compensation from the park administration for the bite of an encephalitic tick, which led to severe consequences, it is necessary to collect the maximum amount of evidence, Valeria Starodubova, a member of the Russian Bar Association, lawyer at Leges Bureau Law Firm, told Izvestia.

The season of their activity this year may last until November, experts say.

In each case, the court will find out exactly what measures the owner, institution or other person responsible for the territory was obliged to take, and whether they were executed, she specified.

"To recover compensation, it is not enough to confirm only the bite: the court will establish the place and circumstances of the incident, the defendant's specific duty to ensure the security of the territory, the fact of its violation and the causal relationship between this violation and the harm caused," the expert emphasized.

Documents on conducting surveys and preventive measures, warnings to visitors, information on the sanitary condition of the territory, and so on may be important. And the main thing is the expert opinion on the connection of the bite with the disease and the consequences that have occurred, the lawyer noted.
