Two cases of bears coming out to people in a day were recorded in Transbaikalia

In Transbaikalia, two cases of bears entering populated areas were recorded in one day. They occurred in the Khiloksky and Krasnochikoysky districts.

In both cases, the animals posed a threat to human safety. Experts have taken legal measures to regulate the number of bears, writes IA ChitaMedia with reference to the press service of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources. The agency noted that the animals posed a threat to humans, as they were located near populated areas.

Earlier it was reported that in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, residents began to turn on music to scare away bears.

On September 9, the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation reported that the total number of brown bears in Russia for 2026 is 307.9 thousand individuals, most of the animals live in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The largest populations are concentrated in the regions of Siberia and the Far East.
