Su-57E performed a demonstration flight at an air show in Egypt
The Russian Su-57E became one of the main participants in the flight program of the Egyptian El Alamein air show. The fifth-generation fighter performed a demonstration flight, during which it demonstrated maneuverability and flight capabilities. Footage of the event is published by Izvestia.
"Today, for the first time, he performed a demonstration flight with high accuracy. The aircraft is designed for high-precision target destruction. Today, the aircraft demonstrated its high flying qualities and the ability of the Russian military-industrial complex to keep up with the times and produce the latest fifth-generation weapons," said journalist Khalil Ahmed.
In addition, an upgraded Yak-130 combat training aircraft was presented at the exhibition. Alexander Guskov, a first class pilot at Yakovlev PJSC, said that the aircraft had received new sighting systems, an on-board radar station, and a defense and communications complex. This, according to him, made it possible to significantly increase the range of guided precision weapons.
"The African region and, as it used to be with the simple predecessor of the Yak-130, the Asian region are showing great interest at the exhibition," Guskov stressed.
On September 3, Rostec State Corporation noted that at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt, for the first time, the Russian fifth-generation Su-57E air complex will be presented in an export configuration with fundamentally new weapons.
On September 7, the High-Precision Complexes Holding, part of Rostec State Corporation, announced that it would present the latest system for covering infrastructure facilities from Bizon drones at the El Alamein International Airshow. Another novelty of the exhibition is the mobile version of the airspace control system.
