The last performance of the musical "Don't be Afraid of Anything, I'm with you" took place in Moscow

On September 6, the final screenings of the musical "Don't be Afraid of Anything, I'm with you" took place on the stage of the MDM Theater. One of the most popular performances in the history of the Russian musical theater has said goodbye to the audience after its second season. The last performances were sold out: the audience saw off the artists with a standing ovation. For many of them, this evening was an encounter with a story that they had been returning to over and over again for several years — a story of love, friendship, the courage to be themselves and faith in a dream, set in romantic Leningrad in the 1980s.

In December 2022, the Broadway Moscow Theater Company, together with its partners, released an original musical based on the songs of the legendary Secret group. "Don't be afraid of anything, I'm with you" has become a real theatrical phenomenon. After its closure in 2024, at the very peak of audience interest, the company was bombarded with requests and even demands to return the production to the stage. In February 2026, the creators of "Fear Nothing, I'm with you" gave up and announced the resumption of the project. The limited release of "Don't be Afraid, I'm with you" lasted for several months. A total of 871 performances took place, a record for a musical shown daily in Russia, and its total audience exceeded 1.4 million people, which is also an unprecedented result for the Russian theater.

After the final number on September 6, Mikhail Mironov, the director of the play, thanked the audience from the stage for the years of love and left the audience hoping for a new meeting with the musical after some time, and also read out the appeal of the producer "Don't be afraid of anything, I'm with you", the head of the Broadway Moscow company Dmitry Bogachev.:

"Four years ago, at the premiere of the NWB — that's how we abbreviate the name of the musical — we went on stage, not knowing what was waiting for us, and not counting on anything. And today, looking back, we realize that what happened is part of history. It's a part of everyone's life, and we believe it's a part of yours too. Thousands of bouquets on bows, heart-stopping ovations, a sea of lanterns and those warm waves of happiness that have covered us all these years, performance after performance. And waves of the same phase, as we remember from school physics, reinforce each other. Thousands of small waves of your love have combined into one big wave of kindness, which we all need so much right now!" Dmitry Bogachev concluded his letter with inspiring words: "Please don't be afraid of anything! We are with you, and we are together, no matter what happens! Everything will be fine. Everything will be Celentano! It's not a goodbye, it's just a “see you later." See you again very soon!"

Thus, the producer announced a new large—scale project of the Broadway Moscow company, to which "Don't be afraid, I'm with you" gave way to the big stage of the MDM Theater - the musical "Everything will be Celentano!". At the center of the adventurous comedy (premiere November 6) is a hopelessly in love Dima Istomin: to impress a girl, he promises to bring Adriano Celentano himself to the City Day. This is how the story begins with forgery, romantic adventures, reckless risk and an unexpected ending. The action takes place in sunny Sochi in the 1980s, and the atmosphere of the summer resort, Sanremo Festival and Soviet comedies is created by 20 megachits from the repertoire of Adriano Celentano, Toto Cutugno, Joe Dassin and Mireille Mathieu. The performance will feature L'italiano, Soli, Salut, Susanna, Ciao Bambino Sorry, Amore No, Se una donna se ne va and other popular songs. The Russian lyrics were written by Sergey Plotov, the arrangements for the large orchestra were by Evgeny Zagot, and Nina Chusova became the director of photography.

However, this does not mean that the Broadway Moscow company has said goodbye to the audience for two long months. At this time, a parody performance from the world super hits "Mamma By!" will be performed on the stage of the Theater on Tsvetnoy. or the Musical Went Wrong" and its sequel is a musical parody with the main hits from the most famous musicals "The Ghost of the Musical, or What's Wrong Again?". These performances are a real antidote to the autumn blues: they are able to make the most demanding audience laugh and be optimistic.
