RPL named the best player in July-August

Krasnodar midfielder Nikita Krivtsov was named the best player of the Russian Premier League (RPL) in July-August. This was announced on September 9 by the league's press service.

"Krivtsov won the RPL experts' vote, received one vote from the PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH commentators (lost to Jubal), and became the second among the fans after Marquinhos. Since the winner of the league's expert vote has a priority with equal wins for the nominees, Nikita became the WINLINE player of the month," the RPL explained.

Krivtsov participated in only four rounds, after which he was out for a long time due to injury. Together with Krivtsov, Maxim Glushenkov, Alexander Sobolev (both Zenit), Mirlind Dacu, Marquinhos (both Spartak), Ivan Oleynikov (Krylia Sovetov), Lechi Sadulaev, Egash Kasintura (both Akhmat), as well as Krivtsov's Krasnodar teammate were nominated Jubal.

Previously, the player was awarded in May 2022 for the most beautiful goal of the month, and he was nominated for the best player of the month award for the first time.

The Russian national football team will play against the teams of Namibia and Nigeria in October.
