Miroshnik accused Kiev of trying to "energocide" Russia with European money

The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), using the €90 billion allocated to them by the European Union (EU) as part of a loan, are trying to arrange an "energy genocide" of the Russian population. This was stated on September 8 by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Rodion Miroshnik during a speech at the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.

"Ukraine used [the €90 billion allocated by the EU] to attack marketplaces, to carry out attacks on the energy sector, that is, to introduce an energy poison into entire vast territories, which works to create unbearable living conditions for the civilian population,— TASS quoted him as saying.

As an illustration, Miroshnik referred to the facts of Kiev's terrorist crimes, which, according to him, Moscow is clearly monitoring. So, in just a short period of time, Ukrainian militants managed to attack over 180 buses, which, according to the ambassador, is a "blasphemous act" that has no justification. The Kiev regime also carried out large-scale actions against energy facilities in the Belgorod, Kursk and Kherson regions, as well as in the Luhansk People's Republic.

The President spoke about the stability of the Crimean energy system and explained why Russia had rejected the latest initiatives of the Ukrainian regime.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said on August 29 that Ukraine had violated the U.S. moratorium on strikes on energy infrastructure facilities 136 times, proposed last spring. Some time later, on September 7, Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod reported that instructions with behavior in case of a possible energy collapse in the coming winter began to be posted in residential buildings in Kiev. The authors of the memos urged Ukrainians to consider the possibility of leaving the capital.
