Energodar was left without gas supply after the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes
Satellite city of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Energodar was completely left without gas supply after the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the infrastructure system. This was announced on September 8 by the head of the city Maxim Pukhov.
According to him, the attack on the gas supply system was recorded at night. As a result of the shelling, the supply of resources stopped not only in Energodar, but also in the neighboring Kamensk-Dneprovsky district, as well as in the city of Dneprorudnoye.
"Consumers of Energodar were left without gas after the nighttime attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the gas supply system," Pukhov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Currently, according to the mayor, restoration work is underway on the damaged sections of the network.
Earlier, on September 7, the external power supply via the Ferroalloy-1 line was fully restored at the Zaporizhia NPP. Since August 20, the station has been providing for its own needs with backup diesel generators. They are now stopped and are in standby mode in case they need to be reused. The damaged line was repaired after the introduction of a temporary silence regime on September 5.
