Expert Musikhin noted the growth of foreign tourists in Russia

The number of foreign tourists arriving in Russia increased by about 7.5% in the first half of 2026. Alexander Musikhin, Deputy General Director of the Intourist tour operator, told about this at a press conference in Izvestia on September 8.

According to the expert, the growth of inbound tourism reflects current market trends. At the same time, the structure of demand has changed: the average check of a foreign tourist has decreased slightly, and the list of leading countries in terms of the number of trips has changed.

Musikhin noted that sales to destinations from the Persian Gulf countries showed a decrease. At the same time, the number of tourists from Asian and Latin American countries has increased.
