The Hyacinth-B crew destroyed the position of the surrounded AFU group in the Kharkiv region

The calculation of the 152-millimeter towed Hyacinth-B cannon of the 6th Guards Combined Arms Army of the North group of forces destroyed the position of a militant group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) surrounded in the Kharkiv region. This was announced on September 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The enemy group, which was engaged in the construction of fortifications, was discovered by the calculation of an unmanned aerial vehicle during aerial reconnaissance. The coordinates of the target were transferred to the artillery unit, after which the crew aimed the gun and inflicted fire damage. The department noted that, thanks to the coordination of actions, a few minutes passed from the moment the command was received to the start of shooting.

The divisions are managed around the clock. Uninterrupted communication has been established between the calculations and the command post, including through fiber-optic connections and satellite dishes. Objective target acquisition control is broadcast live to the command post via internal military messengers and platforms.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the units of the North group continue to create a security zone in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The troops are moving forward in several directions, pushing the AFU units away from the state border to ensure the safety of the civilian population.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that about 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers were surrounded in the Kharkiv region. According to the ministry, units of the North group of forces continue to tighten the encirclement and strike at Ukrainian militants in the areas of the settlements of Malaya Volchya, Nefyodovka, Varvarovka and Chernoe in the Kharkiv region.
