Mass protests against Vucic's arrival at the party meeting were held in Nis
Mass protests are taking place in the Serbian Niche, demonstrators gathered at the National Theater, where a meeting of the Serbian Progressive Party is due to take place. The footage is published by Izvestia on September 5.
As Sergei Petrov, a journalist from Izvestia, pointed out, the protesters tried to go to the theater, but the police blocked their way. The protesters are against the arrival of the President of the Republic Alexander Vucic at the meeting.
"So far, the case is limited to whistles and insults," he said.
On August 14, an anti-government rally was held in the Serbian city of Valjevo to mark the anniversary of the clashes between protesters and police. The protesters held flags, homemade banners and posters, and crowds of people practically blocked traffic on the streets of the city.
