One person was killed and two injured when a car hit a bus stop in Yaroslavl.

In Yaroslavl, a Mercedes driver hit people and rammed into a bus stop, trying to escape from the police, as a result of the accident, one person was killed, two more were hospitalized. This was reported on September 5 in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Yaroslavl region.

"The traffic police squad of the State Traffic Inspectorate identified a Mercedes car, the driver of which did not comply with the police's demands to stop and tried to escape, grossly violating traffic rules," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

As a result, the driver lost control and flew to a public transport stop. The victim of the accident was a man born in 1985, he died on the spot. Two more victims were taken to the hospital.

The Mercedes was driven by an 18-year-old young man. It turned out that he did not have a driver's license. The police detained the violator at the scene. An investigative and operational group is currently working there, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
