Over the past day, 303 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 26 people were killed and another 351 injured. Among the dead, 21 people were drivers and passengers. As a result of 77 accidents involving pedestrians, five people were killed, and another 75 were injured in various degrees of severity. Of the total number of pedestrian incidents, 33 occurred at pedestrian crossings and 44 outside their area of operation.

There were 19 bus accidents on the roads of Russia, in which one person died, and 22 more road users needed medical help. 12 bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by drivers of other vehicles.

Over the past day, 53 accidents involving minors were registered, in which 55 young road users were injured, including 18 passengers, 19 drivers, four of whom were driving motor vehicles. A child pedestrian died due to the inattention of adults.

So, in one of the villages of the Rostov region, during the daytime, a 44-year-old crossover driver, at the beginning of driving through the territory of a self-service car wash, did not see a six-year-old boy sitting on the road in front of his car, whose mother was washing her car in the immediate vicinity, and ran over him.

On the eve of the first weekend in September, the State Traffic Inspectorate reminded parents of underage road users of the need to be more attentive to their children, trying to ensure maximum safety for them. The department advised not to be distracted by outside activities while traveling or walking with children. The lack or negligence of parental control over the behavior and leisure of preschool and primary school age children often leads to injuries or deaths of young road users.
