Russian Ambassador to Lisbon Mikhail Kamynin was summoned to the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The relevant information was confirmed to Izvestia on September 3 at the Russian Embassy.

Earlier, Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel said that the Russian ambassador would be summoned to the Foreign Ministry after Germany's unsubstantiated accusations of Russia's involvement in the drone incident at Leipzig airport.

The Russian Embassy clarified that additional information would be provided after Kamynin's meeting with representatives of the Portuguese Foreign Ministry.

On August 5, one drone was found at Leipzig airport, which was packed with explosives. The discovery was made near a Ukrainian cargo plane. German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said that the incident can be considered as a possible scenario of a hybrid attack.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in the Izvestia studio at the Eastern Economic Forum that Russia would respond to Germany's hostile actions. Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on Germany's statements to Russia regarding the drone in Leipzig with the phrase: "Where is the evidence?"
