The majority of Russians turned out to be ready for a part-time job outside of their profession

79% of Russians agree to work part-time outside their main specialty, while 55% of the country's working residents are already working on the side or are looking for such an opportunity. This was stated by CPO hh.ru Anastasia Fedorova, based on the results of the research conducted by the company.

"The data from the study, which was attended by more than 25 thousand Russians, show that more than 55% of working citizens are already working part-time or actively looking for a part-time job. Moreover, 79% of Russians are ready to earn extra money outside of their main specialty. At the same time, employees who regularly go out for part-time jobs take on average 7-8 additional shifts per month, which allows them to increase earnings by 24-32%. The demand is especially high among experienced employees aged 35-54 years — more than 28% of them are definitely considering a part-time job. Among the most popular part-time jobs are courier, merchandiser, online order picker, barista, waiter, cashier. These data show that the labor market is transforming: people want flexibility, the opportunity to earn quickly and plan their time independently. Our task is to give them this tool in a familiar and secure interface," Anastasia Fedorova said.

According to Fedorova, part-time work ceases to be a niche factor and actively generates demand in the labor market. As she noted, in these conditions hh.ru He launched a single part—time job service on his platform, which contains various formats of additional employment - from regular part-time work to one-time shifts. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 800,000 part-time job options have been presented on the platform, both in large federal networks and in small and medium-sized businesses.
