One GUR employee was killed and two injured in a shootout in Kiev.

One employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was killed and two were injured in a shootout in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Kiev. This was reported on September 2 by the Ukrainian edition of Insider, citing local media.

"One was killed, two were injured," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

It is specified that the parties involved in the shootout agreed to "discharge their weapons." Specialists are working at the scene.

The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" on the same day reported that the sounds of gunfire had been heard in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Kiev since nightfall, caused by a showdown between employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the GUR.
