During the offensive, assault units of the 1198th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 35th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces took control of a large area of enemy defense, including the settlement of Chervonaya Krynitsa in the Zaporizhia region. The servicemen told the details of the liberation on September 2. Their words are transmitted by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is known that as a result of the fighting, enemy losses amounted to over a company of personnel. About 100 buildings and more than 15 square kilometers of territory came under the control of the Vostok group. Four armored combat vehicles, four vehicles, 14 ground-based robotic complexes and more than 50 heavy hexacopters of the Baba Yaga type were destroyed.

A stormtrooper with the call sign Bazhen spoke about the fulfillment of the task and the capture of the enemy's stronghold.

"The commander has set us the task of taking this stronghold. When we started shooting at it, the enemy immediately returned fire, and drones flew in. They wouldn't let us approach. When we finally approached, we threw grenades at the places where they were and suppressed them with machine gun fire. After that, we entered the stronghold and began to gain a foothold. There we found captured weapons, including machine guns. We needed to move on, but there was no way because we were being watched," he said.

Bazhen added that enemy UAVs circled in the sky all night, trying to locate the platoon, but were unable to do so. According to him, camouflage ponchos helped out — they were put on, and thanks to this, the enemy's thermal imagers did not record anyone's presence.

The platoon commander with the call sign Olympus spoke about the foreign-made weapons captured during the combat mission.

"During the advance of our forces, NATO-made weapons are found at enemy strongholds, which are used against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. We pull it out whenever possible. We find NATO-made defensive and offensive grenades, American-made M240 and M21 machine guns. They are quick—firing and are mainly used in defensive positions," he said.

The liberation of Chervona Krynica allowed the units of the Vostok group to disrupt the enemy's defenses and expand the controlled territory in this direction. The establishment of control over the settlement creates conditions for the further development of the offensive, increasing pressure on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and advancing the units of the Vostok group in the Zaporizhia region.

On September 1, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Vostok group of troops had established control over the village of Chervonaya Krynitsa in the Zaporizhia region. The fighters hit the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian mechanized, two assault, two amphibious assault brigades, four assault regiments and a Marine brigade. They performed tasks in the areas of the settlements of Barvinovka, Vasinovka, Nikolskoye, General, Vasilyevskoye of the Zaporozhye region.
