On September 1, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt announced Russia's alleged responsibility for the drone incident at Leipzig airport, although he did not provide any concrete evidence.

"Taken together, the police investigation, the nature of the crime and the intelligence services' data indicate Russia's responsibility for the attempted attack at Leipzig airport," he said at a press conference. The broadcast was hosted by Phoenix TV channel.
