The US military has launched strikes against Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.

The US military has attacked facilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran in the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on September 1 by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM).

"The US armed forces have begun attacking facilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran," CENTCOM said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

A Tasnim correspondent from Qeshm Island reported that eight explosions were heard on the southern coast. The publication also reported that some sources reported the launch of Iranian missiles in the direction of American bases in the region.

The Nour News agency, citing the IRGC, reported earlier that day that Iran had attacked two American air bases in Jordan in response to the attack on Larak Island.
