In Tuva, a minibus driver responsible for a fatal accident was arrested for two months.

A minibus driver who ran over five pedestrians in Kyzyl has been jailed for two months. This was reported on September 1 in the Investigative Committee (IC) for the Republic of Tyva.

"By the court at the request of the investigator in relation to him (the driver. — Ed.), a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention for a period of two months," the agency said in a message on the Maks messenger.

It is noted that the 31-year-old man fully admitted his guilt. He is charged with two criminal cases at once in accordance with paragraph "c" of part 4 of Article 264 ("Violation of traffic rules committed by a person who does not have the right to drive vehicles, which negligently caused the death of a person") and paragraph "c" of part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements the safety of life and health of consumers, which negligently caused the death of a person").

The accident at one of the intersections of Kyzyl became known two days earlier. It was reported at the time that five pedestrians were injured and taken to medical facilities. This number includes three children.

The motorist himself was hospitalized, according to whom everything happened because he suddenly felt sick. The next day, it became known that one of the injured died in the intensive care unit.
