A woman who was forcibly held in an apartment by a drunken roommate died in a hospital on Sakhalin. This was announced on September 1 by a source of Izvestia.

According to his information, the deceased was 44-year-old Olga S. She was stabbed during a domestic conflict by a 47-year-old lover named Alexey T.

The woman was released and taken to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. An attacker with a bullet wound was also taken to a medical facility.

The press service of the regional police clarified in the Maks messenger that the tragedy occurred in one of the apartment buildings in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Law enforcement officers who promptly arrived at the scene managed to detain the attacker, who inflicted a total of five blows on his victim.

Two criminal cases have already been initiated against Alexey T. — on the fact of attempted murder and illegal detention of a person. Investigative measures are currently being carried out in the couple's apartment to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

A source from Izvestia reported on August 5 that in Moscow, a 31-year-old man stabbed his wife to death because of jealousy, which he began to experience upon returning home from guests. Two days later, the man was arrested by the Tushinsky District Court of the capital. He is accused of a crime in accordance with Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
