US President Donald Trump allowed the continuation of American strikes on the territory of Iran. The head of state made the corresponding statement during a conversation with reporters at the White House on August 31.

Speaking about the situation in the Islamic Republic, Trump expressed the opinion that the country is in a state of decline. According to the American leader, the leaders of Iran are dead, and the republic's air force and navy have ceased to exist.

"But that doesn't mean we won't hit them again. Let's see what happens," the US president said.

Trump did not specify the possible dates or conditions for new military operations, noting that Washington's further actions would depend on developments.
