Hockey goalkeeper Denis Motoshin died at the age of 35.

Denis Motoshin, goalkeeper of the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL), passed away a month before his 35th birthday. This was announced on August 31 by the Cheboksary HC press service.

"It's very difficult to find the words. Denis Motoshin died. He died of cardiac arrest. We express our condolences to all the relatives and friends! The farewell to Denis will take place on September 1 in Kazan," the club said in an Instagram post (owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation) of the team.

Denis Motoshin was the best goalkeeper of the 2019 VHL championship, playing for Cheboksary. Motoshin also played for Mordovia, Diesel and Saratov Kristall.
