The father of basketball player Timma accused singer Sedokova of harming the athlete's psyche.

Singer Anna Sedokova purposefully destroyed the psyche of basketball player Janis Timma and used all her skills for this. The father of the deceased athlete, Raitis Timma, shared this belief with Izvestia on August 31.

He explained that he first saw Sedokova in a Moscow restaurant after a game of the Khimki basketball club, for which his son played. The man was confused by their 10-year age difference, but Raitis decided that he would not interfere in Janis' personal life. As the relationship developed, the basketball player became more and more irritable and began to move away from his family.

"Little by little Sedokova purposefully achieved her goal. As I understand it, it was all planned in advance. And as a result, Yanis stopped communicating with everyone who had previously been dear to him," explained Raitis.

After the death of the basketball player, Sedokova did not appear either for identification or for the funeral of her ex-lover. Timma's father noted that instead, the singer urgently flew to the United States to withdraw her savings from the basketball player's accounts. The man is convinced that his son's death was in Anna's favor.

"While Janis was living with Sana (the basketball player's first wife. — Ed.), he became a millionaire, and with Sedokova he lost his job, money, friends, family, and eventually his life. <...> A criminal, a fraudster or a con artist — let the court decide. The fact is, she was destroying my son's psyche step by step," said Raitis.

In July, the lawyer for Timma's family, Margarita Gavrilova, accused Sedokova of trying to blacken the memory of her ex-husband. The defense was particularly outraged by the singer's representatives' demand to hold the trial behind closed doors. Earlier, Timma's family announced its intention to challenge the athlete's prenuptial agreement with Sedokova in order to cancel the deals concluded on its basis.

Timma's death became known on December 17, 2024. There was a screen saver on his phone that said "Call Anna" and Sedokova's phone number. The farewell ceremony was held in Riga on December 27. The day before, he had congratulated his ex-wife on her birthday on social media. In October, the singer officially filed for divorce from the basketball player.
