The area of active burning in the gorenje near Anapa has decreased to 0.5 hectares. This was announced on August 31 by the mayor of the city Svetlana Maslova.

Despite the reduction in the fire area, the fire has been assigned the fourth degree of difficulty, Maslova said.

"Fire crews have been reinforced on Dalny Lane in the Alekseevsky microdistrict, where the fire came close to houses. An operational headquarters has also been deployed there," the mayor wrote on the Maks messenger.

According to Maslova, rescuers and monitoring groups continue to monitor the situation in the village of Anapa on the Embankment and other streets, as well as in the Alekseevka microdistrict. A total of 107 people and 29 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing the fire.
