Russian fighters shared the details of the liberation of Annovka in the DPR

Soldiers of the regiment of unmanned systems (UAVs) as part of the 114th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 51st Guards Combined Arms Army of the Center group of forces told the details of the liberation of the Annovka settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic. The relevant footage is published by the Russian Defense Ministry on August 31.

It is noted that the operation was carried out with the integrated use of reconnaissance and attack drones. The crews of the BpS regiment of the 114th separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade identified the firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), hit the detected targets, covered the assault groups and resisted heavy hexacopters.

"This is a very important settlement for the enemy, as it is a direct road to Kramatorsk. Having taken this settlement, we cut off their supply and supplies in Dobropillya. The task <...> was to identify the enemy, firing positions, firing points, rapid response, and destruction of the enemy," said Alexei Vinogradov, commander of the BpS battalion's strike company.

Reconnaissance drones detected camouflaged firing points and means of transportation, after which the identified objects were attacked by FPV drones and Molniya-2 vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, in Annovka, Russian units encountered long-term concrete fortifications and strong points equipped in buildings. They were consistently hit with the use of attack drones and artillery.

Drones were also used to destroy engineering barriers and create passageways for infantry. The assault units advanced into the settlement in small groups, in some cases one soldier at a time, under the cover of drones.

The operator of a reconnaissance UAV with the call sign Medic, who received it due to his completed medical education, spoke about helping his colleagues.

"The allies from the neighboring position came out to meet the delivery group, and the FPV drone worked on them, and he (the fighter. A fragment flew into his neck and went all the way to his collarbone, but it didn't touch anything serious, that is, the carotid artery wasn't touched, the jugular vein wasn't touched, the trachea wasn't touched. <...> I just quickly stopped the blood, helped to evacuate, bandaged and accompanied him to the evacuation group," — the Medic shared.

Annovka was released on August 25. It was clarified that during those days, the Center group attacked the positions of three mechanized, jaeger and airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades and three National Guard brigades.
