A state service for the adoption of animals from shelters will appear in Russia
A digital government service will be created in Russia, through which citizens will be able to take pets from shelters. This is reported in a document of the Ministry of Finance, the contents of which are quoted by RIA Novosti on August 31.
According to the agency's plans, digital services in the field of animal treatment will be implemented in the country. The main task of the platform will be to ensure the placement of pets from shelters to new families.
In addition, the functionality of the system will allow you to search for missing animals and register veterinary specialists. It is planned to allocate 80 million rubles for the implementation of these projects.
The program will cover 102 regions. The new services are expected to be available to users from mid-November.
Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for public control and handling of citizens' complaints, said on August 26 that pet owners should check the specialist's education, reviews of the doctor and information about the medical institution before contacting the veterinary clinic. He added that before treating a pet, it is worth requesting a procedure plan and cost estimates.
