Dmitriev pointed to the negative impact of Merz's policy on the German economy.
Germany is suffering economic damage due to the political course of the chairman of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Kirill Dmitriev expressed this opinion on August 30.
"Germany is suffering economic damage from Merz's policies," he wrote on the social network X.
According to Dmitriev, investors are interested in the honest approach of the Alternative for Germany party to solving the problems accumulated in the country. Among the priorities, he highlighted ensuring access to reliable energy, control over migration processes and economic recovery in Germany.
Dmitriev also noted that only 13% of German residents currently support Merz's current position and "misconceptions."
Thus, he commented on a Bloomberg publication on X, which cites a statement by the German Chancellor.
Merz warned that the eastern part of Germany could face economic difficulties if <...>.. The Alternative for Germany party will come to power in one of the lands," the agency writes.
Sarah Wagenknecht, leader of the German Union for Social Justice and Economic Reasonableness party, said on August 26 that Merz was the "best chancellor" Ukraine had ever had. Thus, she commented on reports that the CDU leader is much more popular among Ukrainians than among German citizens.
