Klyuchevskaya volcano in Kamchatka once again spewed ash to a height of 7 km above sea level. This was reported on August 30 in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kamchatka Territory, citing data from the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Group (KVERT).

"On the afternoon of August 30, another ash discharge was recorded from the Klyuchevsky volcano to a height of up to 7 thousand m, while the height of the giant itself was 4,750 m," the message in the Maks messenger says.

It is specified that the ash plume from the volcano headed east –northeast, spreading towards the Bering Sea.

According to the agency, an "orange" aviation danger level has been set for Klyuchevsky volcano.

On August 18, KVERT reported that the collapse of a fragment of the Klyuchevskaya volcano crater wall into the Apakhonchichi trench led to a prolonged descent of pyroclastic flows. It was noted that a vapor-gas mixture with a low ash content was released over the top of the volcano, and a moderate eruption of Klyuchevsky continued.
