On August 28, the mother of the deceased teenager from Orekhovo-Zuyevo, Angela Titova, told Izvestia about the last hours of her son's life and his disappearance. According to her, Maxim was a calm and kind child who earned money on his own and saved up for a computer.
"He asked: "Mom, what time do I have to go home?" I say, "Maxim, at 21:30." And he answered in such a sad voice," the woman said.
According to his mother, on the day of his disappearance, Maxim bought sneakers, returned home, and then went for a walk. He stopped contacting us in the evening. The woman, as she said, at first hoped that her son had stayed at someone's place overnight. Later it became known that on the way the teenager met an acquaintance who suggested that he take a walk. Maxim refused, saying that they were already waiting for him, and headed towards the abandoned building.
After the teenager stopped answering his phone, friends, acquaintances and volunteers of the LizaAlert search team joined his search. The Investigative Committee informed the mother that the teenager could have been deliberately lured to a meeting. Two 16-year-old girls from the same village are suspected of his murder.
According to Angela, one of the suspects is studying at a medical college. The woman also stated that the girl may have mental health problems, and local residents had previously noticed her with a knife. According to investigators, preparations for the crime could have begun on August 20. Information about possible other victims is also being checked.
The incident occurred in Kabanovo, Orekhovo-Zuyevsky city district. On August 26, the sixth—grader did not return home - he was put on the wanted list. The next day, the boy's body with signs of violent death was found in the basement of an abandoned building on the territory of a former vocational school.
Two girls, aged 15 and 16, were detained on suspicion of murder. According to preliminary data, they had planned the crime in advance. Under the pretext of meeting and drinking alcohol together, the schoolgirls lured a boy friend to the territory of an abandoned building.
The Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region has opened a criminal case under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
