A "school of the future" with 1,100 places will be built in the Basmanny district of Moscow. This was announced by the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, on Friday, August 28.

According to him, a new educational institution will appear in Rubtsovy Lane as part of a targeted investment program. The project provides for the creation of a modern space that can be adapted to different learning formats and extracurricular activities.

The school will be equipped with an information technology room, a laboratory and research complex, a media library, two gyms, as well as facilities for physical therapy and choreography, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

Sports grounds and outdoor games areas will be built next to the building. The surrounding area will be landscaped and landscaped. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2028.

Prior to that, on August 20, the official said that by the beginning of the new school year, 100 schools had been renovated in Moscow — in particular, on September 1, renovated school buildings would open in Losinoostrovsky and Yaroslavsky districts of the capital.
