Experts have revealed the main dangers of blind trust in AI
Kaspersky Lab analysts have revealed the potential danger of artificial intelligence (AI) for the younger generation. So, every fourth zoomer in the world perceives him as a friend.
According to the study, 47% of zoomers between the ages of 18 and 28 use artificial intelligence every or almost every day. They most often turn to AI to find information (56%), study (49%), generate ideas (47%) and work —39%).
At the same time, 27% of young users communicate with AI as with a friend, and 28% discuss personal issues with him that they are not ready to share with other people. Such figures are lower among millennials, Gen Xers, and boomers.
However, only 42% of zoomers regularly follow security measures when working with AI: they check the information they receive and try not to disclose confidential data. Another 52% do this only occasionally, and 6% do not take such measures at all. Lenta.Ru on Friday, August 28th.
Kaspersky Lab expert Vladislav Tushkanov warned that AI should not be fully trusted, since even large services may have vulnerabilities. Users are advised to critically evaluate the responses of neural networks, double-check important information and not transfer documents, passwords, payment details, correspondence and other confidential information to the services.
The day before, Bloomberg, citing the results of a Glassdoor study, reported that employees aged 40-60 are most optimistic about the introduction of AI, as they see new opportunities for employees in leadership positions, while young people are afraid of job cuts.
In April, The New York Times, citing data from The Gallup Institute, wrote that zoomers often use artificial intelligence, but they treat it worse. More than half of young people know how to use neural networks, and about half use them daily. At the same time, 20% of respondents said they do not use AI at all.
At the same time, attitudes towards neural networks are becoming more critical. Over the past year, the proportion of those who positively assess their development has decreased from 27% to 18%, and about a third of respondents admitted that artificial intelligence irritates them. 360.ru .
At the same time, Marina Kholod, PhD in Economics, a leading researcher at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence, Neurotechnology and Business Analytics at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, said in a conversation with the Moscow City News Agency that interest in artificial intelligence (AI) courses in Moscow had grown by 15-20% per year. The largest share of generative AI users in Moscow is made up of zoomers (generation Z, under the age of 28) — 45% of the total number of users.
