A new ecotropa with places of worship will open in Transbaikalia

It is planned to open a new ecotrope on the territory of the Kuka sanatorium in the Chita region in September. It will be free to visit at any time of the year, the press service of the government of Transbaikalia reports.

The 5 km walking route is being created as part of the Trails of the Far East project and the National Tourism and Hospitality project. Federal funding in the amount of 38 million rubles was allocated in 2025, writes ChitaMedia news agency.

The trail is currently 90% ready. The high rise to it was paved for the convenience of people with wheelchairs. Along the way, gazebos, swings, benches, urns, signs and sculptures associated with the legends of the region were installed.

There are barisans and a Goroo trail at the top, and a bell was installed in front of the entrance group. Traditionally, before starting a walk, visitors are invited to leave bad thoughts and hit it an odd number of times.

A special feature of the route will be two tactile trails, some sections of which are made of sand, cones, wood and foliage. Visitors will also be able to see the dwellings of indigenous peoples: a Buryat yurt, a Russian hut and a plague of Evenks.

Earlier it was reported that 10 specialized routes have been developed in Transbaikalia to attract foreign tourists to the region. The authorities pay special attention to the Aginsky district.
