Crimea to collect 70 million rubles from organizers of underground gambling

More than 70 million rubles will be recovered from an organized criminal group in Simferopol. The money should go to the state's revenue, the press service of the Crimean Prosecutor's office reports.

In 2024, 31 gang members were found guilty of illegally organizing and conducting gambling on the peninsula. The attackers used the gaming equipment outside the permitted area.

The prosecutor demanded that the members of the organized criminal group jointly recover 70.9 million rubles, writes IA SevastopolMedia. This amount was obtained as a result of illegal activities. The court upheld the requirements of the supervisory authority.

Earlier it was reported that Russia had suppressed the activities of criminals who controlled 14 illegal online casinos. The defendants carried out thousands of transactions every day, ensuring the operation of such platforms as Pin-Up, Leon, MelBet and others.
