Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out massive and 12 group strikes with precision weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. Enterprises of the military, metallurgical and oil refining industries of Ukraine, logistics centers, fuel, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military airfields, workshops for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and their components, ammunition depots, fuel and materiel, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries were affected.

In addition, infrastructure facilities of Ukrainian ports that provided reception and storage of military cargo and fuel and lubricants were put out of operation. During the week, a patrol boat of the Ukrainian Navy, as well as eight naval vessels operating in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, were hit.

"Last week, the decisive actions of the units of the North group of forces established control over the settlements of Pershe Travnya and Pisarevka, Sumy region. The manpower and equipment of seven mechanized, motorized infantry, two airmobile brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, five air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade were defeated. In total, the enemy lost more than 1,550 military personnel, three tanks, 10 armored combat vehicles, 73 vehicles, four field artillery guns, and five electronic warfare and counter—battery warfare stations in the North group's area of responsibility," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

During the week, the units of the Zapad group of forces improved their position along the front line. Formations of four mechanized, motorized infantry, airmobile, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two air defense brigades were defeated. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to over 1,510 military personnel, 12 armored combat vehicles (five of them Western-made), 136 vehicles, 16 field artillery guns and 11 electronic warfare stations.

The units of the "Southern" group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and lines. The manpower and equipment of four mechanized, motorized infantry, airmobile, assault, mountain assault brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and a defense brigade were defeated. During the week, more than 1,490 servicemen, 10 armored personnel carriers, 180 vehicles and 19 field artillery guns were lost in the area of responsibility of the "Southern" group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of the active offensive actions of the units of the Center group of forces, the settlements of Annovka and Kucherov Yar of the Donetsk People's Republic were liberated. Three mechanized, jaeger, assault, airmobile, airborne brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades and four National Guard brigades were defeated. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to over 2,540 military personnel, 12 armored personnel carriers, 50 vehicles, eight field artillery guns and eight electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations.

The Vostok group of troops continues to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. The settlements of Dolinka, Nezhenka and Shevchenkovskoye in the Zaporizhia region have been liberated. A mechanized, two assault, two amphibious assault brigades, three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, two marine brigades and a defense brigade were defeated. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces amounted to more than 2,260 military personnel, 19 armored personnel carriers and 37 vehicles.

The units of the Dnepr group of forces have improved their tactical situation. Two mechanized mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade were defeated. Over 260 military personnel, 118 vehicles, three unmanned boats, 16 electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations were destroyed during the week.

Air defense systems shot down 80 guided aerial bombs, 15 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, 14 Flamingo long-range cruise missiles and 5,989 aircraft-type drones.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 674 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 221,637 unmanned aerial vehicles, 670 anti-aircraft missile systems, 30,739 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,775 multiple rocket launchers, 36,295 field artillery guns and mortars, 70,417 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
