Military enlistment offices will be able to get access to full information about military personnel

Officials of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) can access a wide range of information about conscripts and their close relatives. This is stated on August 28 in an order published on the federal portal of regulatory legal acts.

"I order you to determine a list of information that officials of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have the right to receive free of charge from federal government agencies, state authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of their forms of ownership," the document says.

According to the document, the military will be able to receive information from government agencies, enterprises, institutions and organizations free of charge, regardless of the form of ownership.

The list may include information about vehicles and accidents, income, criminal record and involvement in a criminal investigation as an accused or suspect, credit history and phone numbers. Access to other information about conscripts and their relatives is also provided.

On July 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing the full-time strength of the Russian Armed Forces in the amount of 2,426,130 units, including 1,535,000 military personnel. The document amends the presidential decree of June 12, 2026, which established the previous staffing level. The new number was introduced on August 1, 2026 in connection with the creation of military construction units in the Armed Forces.
