The Ministry of Education named the maximum level of workload for schoolchildren
The maximum academic load of Russian schoolchildren ranges from 20-21 hours per week in the first grades to 34-37 hours in grades 10-11. This was announced on August 28 by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.
"According to the maximum allowable workload per week, the first grades study for 20-21 hours, grades 2-4 — 23-26 hours, 5th grade — 29-32 hours, 6th grade — 30-33 hours, 7th grade — 32-35 hours, grades 8-9 - 33-36 hours, grades 10-11 — 34-37 hours," Kravtsov told RIA Novosti.
He noted that standards are also set for the time of homework, as well as the number and duration of control and verification work.
On August 27, Kravtsov announced that the Russian Ministry of Education was working to create unified textbooks for all subjects of the school curriculum. The Minister said that when developing new textbooks, it is planned to take into account current scientific and technological achievements.
