Evacuation of residents began in Akhtubinsk, Astrakhan region, after a reservoir caught fire near the Vladimirovka railway station. This was announced on August 27 by the head of the municipal formation "Urban settlement of Akhtubinsk" Alexander Sivakov.
"Residents are being evacuated from houses located in the risk zone. Buses have been organized to transport residents," the message says in the Maks messenger.
It is noted that the evacuees are being taken to a temporary accommodation facility in the Rechnikov recreation center at 187 Zavodskaya Street, as well as to the Akhtuba Central District Hospital.
Later, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region clarified that a carriage with liquefied gas had caught fire. Five pieces of equipment and 15 employees of the fire service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia are involved in extinguishing the fire. There was no information about the victims.
